He is a double – minded man, unstable in all his ways.

James 1:8

Have you ever went back and forth in your mind about something you were trying to make a decision about? One day you’re firm on what you believe in, and the next day you allow fear to cause you to waiver in your mind.

The Bible says a double – minded man is unstable in all his ways. And if you haven’t made up in your mind that you’re going to serve the Lord as your Lord and Savior, then you’ll always be a double – minded man; trusting and leaning to your own understanding.

But a man that has a made up mind to serve God, will walk in Truth. That means his/her actions will reflect who they believe in, and they’ll stand on His word and leave the consequences up to God.

But a man that is unsure of what he/she believes in is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. And James 1:7 says: “that person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” So I come to encourage you today to have a made up mind of who you’re going to serve………… before it’s too late!

Let us pray: Lord we thank You for giving us a made up mind to serve only You. serving You is our assurance that no matter what, everything will work out for our good. Help us to stand firm on days we are weak, and help us to believe when things look bad. We love You and trust You – in Jesus name we pray. Amen and thank God.
