A Word For You Today!

Ephesians 3:20

Monday’s are usually a challenge day for me to get up and moving. But this particular Monday, I was running a little late for work and when I arrived in the lobby where I take the elevator to my floor. I noticed that the doors wouldn’t open after several attempts of pushing the button.

I was trying hard not to get impatient but after a couple of minutes of waiting which seemed like 15 minutes; I was about to pry open the doors with my bare hands. Don’t laugh I know you’ve been there too! But to my surprise, I heard a voice say – the door is open behind you. In fact, it’s been open the whole time you’ve been standing there.

So I ran and jumped on the elevator before the door could close and I thanked the person who informed me that the door was open; and wondered why they didn’t tell me sooner. But anyway I made it!

The point I’m trying to make this morning is have you ever been waiting on God to do something you’ve been praying a long time for? But you were focused on your blessings coming one way and fixed your eyes on one door, and never opened your mind to the possibility that God may open another door with a bigger blessing in it.

It’s called putting God in a box; limiting His unlimited power to do great things for you. So often we allow our limited thinking to lock us in a position to where we can only receive what’s natural. And never broaden our vision to receive from God who has mastered in the impossible.

Ephesians 3:20 says: “God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.” Ask God to broaden your vision so you can see all He has in store for you. Matthew 7:11 says: ” the Father in heaven gives good gifts to those who ask Him.” Go to God in prayer this morning and ask Him for your blessing, and be open to how he wraps the gift and delivers it!

Let us pray: Father your ways and your thoughts are much higher than your children. And your gifts and blessings are bigger than what we could ever imagine. Open up our minds this morning to the impossible, miracles, and the blessings You have in store for us. In Jesus name we pray – Amen and thank God!
