A Word For You Today!

Are you too proud to ask for help? Asking for help can be hard and the world has deemed weakness as a bad word when it’s actually a part of God’s plan to make us strong in Him.

I come to bring you the good news today that it takes more courage to ask for help, then to keep winging it on your own limited strength.

2 Corinthians 12:9: “But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.

We were created to lean on and trust God, and when we are weak, then He is strong in us. But you have to know when to let go and let God! We are not to go at life alone and keep everything to ourselves. Trusting and relying only on yourself will not make you strong, instead it leaves you venerable for the enemy.

God knows just what we need. Go to Him in prayer and ask for help. If you need someone to talk too in confidence and pray with you, ask Him. His word says: “To bear one another burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

And it’s ok to seek professional help if you need it too. Don’t stay in darkness when there are resources out there to help you. Stop trying to be strong when you know you need help. You’re hurting yourself and you’re no help to those around you.

And please don’t worry about what people say or think; trust me they too need help dealing with their own weaknesses. Instead, take whatever is too heavy for you to carry to God in prayer, and let Him guide you. He’s just a step away!

Let us pray: Lord, We Need You! Help us to recognize when we need to talk to someone or seek professional help. Give us the courage to step out on faith and put it in your hands. In Jesus name we pray. Amen and thank God!
