A Word for You!

Luke 10:38-42 NIV

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed- or indeed only one, Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Is this you today? Have you turned your attention away from the things of God? Are you so distracted that every little thing bothers you and cause anxiety? Does everything seem urgent, and you can’t rest until it is done? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I have good news for you.

Take it all to the Lord in prayer! Allow Him to order your steps and provide clarity for the confused and weary mind. He will provide rest for the physically tired body, and freedom from everything that has you bound. You see Jesus has all the answers to the problems you have right now. Staying busy does not make you successful, it makes you tired and open to mistakes. Stop what you are doing right now and please listen.

Jesus wants an abundant life for you. A life filled with joy, peace, love and wisdom that surpasses all understanding. He wants you to take one day at a time and enjoy the small things and capture memories. Although distractions come to keep you from the things of God, you don’t have to stay disorientated. God has a word for you and He’s waiting on you to ask for help in Jesus’ name. Will you call on Him?

Let us pray: Father, we need You. We can’t make it without You! Take the blinders off so we can see things clearly and give us peace and direction for the pathway we should take. In your darling son Jesus name, we pray – amen and thank God!
