1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“The Power of Prayer”

What is prayer? A simple definition is communication with the Father. Did you know that it is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you to pray without ceasing? Prayer is so essential to having a relationship with God; that in the book of Matthew, chapters 5 and 6, Jesus gives us specific instructions on how to pray.

In fact, prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us, and it is through Jesus that we have direct access to Him. And oh what a wonderful privilege to have a life-line to the Father. Yes, God is our Father! It is through Jesus, who sacrificed His life for our sins so that we may live and receive the adoption into the family of God (Hebrew 7:23-27).

We are God’s children, which makes us all equal in His eyes and worthy to talk to Him. How would it make you feel if your children never talked to you? What if I told you your Father has the answers to All your problems, and delights in hearing your voice- would you pray more?

Prayer can deliver you from your enemies (Psalm 143:9). Prayer is not only asking God for what you need, forgiveness, and confession; it is also an opportunity to praise Him for what He’s done for you and give thanks and gratitude to the Father above.

How sweet it is to have a prayer partner to pray with you and agree with scripture to back it up (Matthew 18:19). And if you don’t know what to pray for, ask the Holy Spirit to speak for you when you don’t have words to say (Romans 8:26, John 14:26). You see God is one being in three persons- Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit!

And if you don’t know how to pray. Jesus takes us to the Bible- Matthew 6:9-13 and shows us how to pray. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding of the scriptures and speak simply from the heart to God.

No big words are needed, just faith and ask for God’s will to be done. A word to the wise- Please Pray Before It’s Too Late!

Let us pray: Father, help us to take time out to pray and give thanks to You always. Teach us how to pray and what to pray for. Help us to come boldly to Your throne with praise and confession of our sins to receive forgiveness. And when we don’t have all the right words to say, let the Holy Spirit be our guide. We ask this prayer in Your darling son Jesus’ name- Amen.

God Loves You!

Did you know that God loves you so much, that He gave His only son to die for you and I? It’s true, according to John 3:16- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I don’t know no greater way to say “I Love You.” In fact, God is love and He is our First love. Love is so important and so powerful that God made it the first commandment; and He wants us to love one another and He explains how to love in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13- “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” This is how we are to love one another.

But If no one gives you a card, flowers, candy, or tell you they love you today; just know that God loves you and there is no greater love than the Father’s love.

Let us pray: Father, teach us how to love ourselves and one another. Help us to follow the examples you gave us in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. Help us to love You with all our hearts, soul, mind, and with all thy strength. Help us to keep your first commandment and even love our enemies. I pray that You would spread Your Love on us today and every day in Jesus’ name- Amen.

Psalm 95:1-3

“O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”

In all the chaos going on in the world right now, still tell God thank You. You might not know how He’s going to bring you out but praise Him as if you’ve already seen your breakthrough. I come to bring you the good news today that it is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Psalm 95:1 says, “Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.” I don’t know about you, but when I think about the goodness of God, my soul gets happy, my eyes began to water, and I utter praise with my mouth.

But how do you give thanks to God? Is it through your daily walk with Him, tithes and offerings, or love for your brothers and sisters?

No matter what’s going on right now, keep giving God the praise and watch Him work on your behalf.

I challenge you today to make God smile. Find ways to praise Him and give thanks. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Let us pray: Lord, we thank You for this day! A day that You woke us up. A day that You provided grace and mercy. A day that You provided food for us to eat and a roof over our heads. Lord, we thank You. Thank You for keeping us safe from seen and unseen danger. Thank You that You didn’t allow our enemies to overtake us. Lord, we thank you that You didn’t give us what we deserved. We thank You that You didn’t allow sickness to keep us hostage. Thank You for the blessing and miracle that is on its way. We thank You and we give You all the praise – In Jesus’ name. Amen and thank God.

Psalm 30:2 “Praying For Healing”

Let us pray: Father, I come praying for healing for everyone that is sick in their bodies, mind and soul. I pray for healing in broken relationships, finance, spirit, and hearts.

I call on Jesus’ name to restore everything that the devil stole that is within Your will. Show us Your light at the end of the tunnel, that we may have hope that our help is on the way.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen and thank God!

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.” Romans 12:2

Let us pray: Lord, help your children that are soul searching trying to find their place of belonging. Stir up the gifts that You have placed inside of us to fulfill Your purpose and let those gifts find a place for us.

Let us not become discouraged if others don’t see our vision, nor let others intimidate us because it’s not the “Norm” and we fear the outcome.

But renew our minds and give us the strength to stand alone if we have too and send the provision to carry it out. Dear Lord, give us the peace we need to keep going and wisdom to know that we’re on the right track. In Jesus name we pray – Amen and thank God!

He Is Risen!

A Love Letter to Jesus on Easter Sunday!

Wow! Words cannot express the gratitude I’m feeling for You right now. You forgave me for not being good to You or myself.

As messed up as I am, You choose only to see the greatness in me. I thought I let You down a thousand times, but You knew me before I was in my mother’s womb and yet You still went to the cross on my behalf.

This world would never understand me and what I’ve been through. But You know me Jesus and You didn’t let me walk alone.

I send a million kisses up to Heaven to You and I smile, because I know You’re watching over me.

Jesus, it was You that gave Your life as a ransom so that I could live. And because You got up Easter morning, I was redeemed.

I could never repay You for what You’ve done. But this Easter Sunday, I rededicate my life to You and I’ll praise You forever more!

Love You Jesus!
